Lost is an anti-female conspiracy and Rob Thomas is still evil

I think the bit about Lost doesn't need much explanation, right? It's a show about a smoke monster and people get shot all the time in real life. Anyway...

Jubi says...

Heh, I know what you mean, but that might have been the wrong example to use since FNL is also considered to be on-the-bubble regarding cancellation. Yes, they have a very pretty cast, but it really hasn't helped their ratings...

If all of these wonderful characters who have already been completely shafted this season are let go without an explanation or a send-off, I wouldn't be able to help being angry. But I guess I would still watch a S4 FBI version of the show with no returning cast members except KB IF it managed to hook me. Considering how poorly-written I've found this current season to be, I don't think that's possible, but we shall see. This is sort of like when I stopped watching Lost a few episodes into Season 3 because yet another woman was shot in the stomach and killed--I just found it utterly appalling that 4 women (3 of whom were main cast characters) had been shot and killed on that show within a year, and some of this happened around that time when gun-violence against women was a big deal (the high school girls raped and killed by the homeless man, the man who killed the Mormon girls, one or two other things that have slipped my mind). But even though I generally boycott Lost because I have found the overall writing to be apallingly insensitive (not to mention just plain bad), I still tuned in for a couple of other episodes, namely the one that Nathan Fillion was in and the first episode after the hiatus. I guess I feel the same way about VM. I feel that if what we've heard is true, then every VM actor except KB is being treated like dirt. I don't care how "nice" RT is to them about letting them go, or whether it's amicable or not, it still sucks. But I'll give it a shot next season anyway, since the only other show I watch is Friday Night Lights, which may not be back, either (though I think it has a better shot than VM).

ETA: If it turns out that every single VM actor including KB was let out of their contract, then obviously I would feel differently. That's not the picture that's being painted, but we only have rumors based on one agency, so it could be true of all the actors.

Rob Thomas's evil revenge for Teddy Dunn

Is there any logical reasoning would could use for saying that firing Jason Dohring is part of some grand conspiracy to get back at The Man for making him fire Teddy Dunn? Rob Thomas needs a mustache to twirl.

Quoth lovesflicks at TWoP...

So Rob Thomas is too lazy to research the exact requirements to get into the FBI but he's willing to make VM an agent anyway? Is he an asshole or is it just me? I mean, what a disservice to those people that actually went thru the training to become agents.

I'm starting to think that the whole FBI 4 years into the future is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. And most of the people in the LiveJournal agree.

But if TPTB have canned Jason and Enrico too, well then VM deserves to be buried then. I'm still pissed that Michael Muhney was killed off and his death was barely addressed afterwards, like he was just an afterthought.

Please just let VM die with dignity for Christ's sake. The CW is making a mess of this. Run the remaining eps and call it a day. Let the actors get on with their lives and start lining up projects, okay?

I hope that RT didn't really fire Jason because he's still mad about having to let go of Teddy Dunn. If that is the case, he is one petty, conniving prick then. Especiallly since Jason and his character were such an asset to the show. What a slap in Jason's face.
